Flowers & Red

The shops in KL's Petaling Street looks so beautiful in red and multi-coloured flowers. These items are sold in preparation for the Chinese New Year that will be celebrated on 14 Feb this year. Everyone is busy either spring cleaning and shopping for clothes, food, auspicious decorations and plants to as part of their preparation to usher the arrival of the Year of Tiger.

Elegant Motion

I enjoyed the elegant motions that the Dunhuang dancers had when they performed during our Joy, Fellowship & Leadership concert. When I watched 'You Think You Can Dance' for the first time last night, it's obvious that it takes many hours of training before one can dance with poise and elegance. My neighbour was walking his Pomeranian dog past my house and I stopped him so I could capture a shot of his pet, named Doo-Doo. Isn't it beautiful?

That's My World Tuesday - Chinese New Year Decorations

Shops in Petaling Street at downtown Kuala Lumpur have put up Chinese New Year decoration stuffs up for sales. Chinese New Year music was blaring away from the speakers. What a festive mood all these loud and bright red decors create! The shopping for CNY has also started. This is indeed the best time to hang out at Petaling Street.

Monochrome Monday - Choir

Today is my first posting for year 2010. My apologies to all for being missing during the past few weeks. I have been having an inspiring time, involving with the organizing of a Buddhist youth exchange programme that took place from 1-10 Jan. It has been a rewarding journey in terms of spiritual growth for me. I am back now, feeling more energized and inspired to face the challenges and opportunities that this new year brings me. Hope you are also well-charged for this new year.

For today's Monochrome Monday's posting, here's a photo taken during the concert held for the youth exchange programme. It's a choir performance by Messengers of Dharma (in short, MoD). I like the flow of the costumes and the mysterious look that the dark background provides. Hope you like it too.
