The city council is building an extra lane for bicycle to encourage people to cycle. They want Sydney to be just like Europe where people cycle most often.
Currently it is rather dangerous without cycle lane because streets are narrow.
I love cycling. But in Subang Jaya or KL, there's no lane for cyclist. Thus we have to share the roads with cars and motorbikes. Most of the time those big vehicles don't even bother to give us any space. So it can be dangerous to ride bicycles on the main road. It is alright to ride it within the roads of our residential areas.
I love riding bicycle in China as cyclists are given its own lane and thus, much safer. And the weather is lovely for cycling, especially in spring or autumn.

I LOVE cycling and haven't been able to all winter due to bronchitis. This photo makes me happy, and excited.
ReplyDeleteI am not a cyclist, but I have a friend who is training for an eighty mile mountain trail race to be held next month.
