Nyonya Dance

A Nyonya (Straits-borned Chinese) dance performed during Wesak International Cultural Night at Brickfields Maha Vihara.

The Nyonya Baju Kebaya (traditional costume) is very well-known for its beautiful embroidery. It is usually worn with a sarong. See those beautiful attires wore by the alluring dancers in the photo

  2. So that's what 'Nyonya' means! I saw a restaurant here with that name and I wondered what it was about.

Love the colorful, beautiful costumes! Must be even more amazing up close when you can see the delicate embroidery.
