Sinful Breakfast

Curry Laksa and a glass of Kopi-O Ping (Iced Coffee) - that was my breakfast for yesterday! Curry laksa gravy is made of coconut milk and spices. The gravy is served with noodles, topped with long beans, tofu puff, roasted pork and fish balls. Cockles are usually added. But for mine, I would ommit them. It is usually served with sambal (chilly spice) by the side.

Why do I call this a sinful breakfast? Because coconut milk is known to contain high saturated fat that would transform into bad cholesterol that clogs up arteries. But how could one resist such delicious food?

I had the Curry Laksa at a stall in the Subang Jaya Market as SS15. It's my favourite stall. For additional toppings, it cost me RM3.50 only! The stall owner is also very generous with her delicous sambal. Try it out if you are in the vicinity of our town!

So, have you had any sinful meal like me lately?

So glad you had your sinful breakfast! I'm sure one day scientists will find why coconut is good for you, in some other way. Just keep having it!

A very different breakfast from my western toast and tea... it would take some adjustment for me to switch to curry laksa for breakfast.

Very colourful photo!

South Indians use a lot of coconut in their food and it's always yum yum. Curry laksa sounds delicious.

"Use your first smile, your first form of generosity, of love, of kindness—use it at home; start at home. And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
