ABC Wednesday - 'O' is for Old Buildings in KL

I took this photo while standing at the junction of Jalan Tun H.S. Lee & Jalan Cheng Lock in KL's Chinatown area. This is a very busy area, with public buses and taxis plying the road. The buildings here are very old, as one can see the orange building where the famous Lai Foong Restaurant is located is over 55 years old. Lai Foong Restaurant is actually a coffee shop with many hawkers stalls in it. One of the stalls sell the famous beef noodle, well-known among KL-ites. The tall structure behind Wisma Fui Chiu is the Maybank headquarter.

What are the old buildings in your city like?

It looks like an interesting place to be. I like old buildings and old parts of a city. Do Subang Jaya and Kuala Lumpur have many places like this?

Thanks all for your comments above.

As for Eki question, KL has many old buildings like the one featured on the photo posted. However, Subang Jaya is a young suburb. So many buildings here are less than 25 years old.

Very colorful and there is certainly a lot going on there... Interesting to see the modern architecture peeking over the old...

It's always interesting to see the old buildings in other people's towns! I've never been to Kuala Lumpur so had no idea what it was like!

Thank you for taking part in ABC Wednesday! I hope you'll take part next week too!

Excellent choice for ABC Wednesday!!!

And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
