My World Tues - Nasi Kandar

Do you like Nasi Kandar? I caught the picture of this Nasi Kandar stall at the Food Court near to Putra Mosque. The food looks yummy! The wide spread of dishes are very tantalizing too! Unfortunately I already had my lunch when I came here. So, I didn't have the chance to taste the mouth-watering food it served.
--------------------------------------------------------
For the benefit of those who doesn't know what Nasi Kandar is, this is actually a rice meal of Indian Muslim origin named after the rod balanced on the shoulder of food vendors from long ago, to carry the rice and dishes as the vendor travel from one house to another. It started off in Penang. But now, Nasi Kandar can be found in many parts of Malaysia. In fact many Nasi Kandar shops run on 24-hour basis.
One can choose to have the rice (white rice or nasi briyani - rice cooked with ghee and various spices) with various kind of curries, fish, meat or vegie dishes.

But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
