Sky Watch Fri - Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

Happy Sky Watch Friday again!

Today's posting is taken during the 1st Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta last weekend. This photo is among those that I managed to take after my memory card failure. I love the beautiful colour of this balloon and the hot afternoon sky on last Saturday!

I hope the weather will be kinder (as it has been overly hot lately) these few weekends as most Chinese will be going back to hometown for Cheng Beng or Qing Ming. Cheng Beng is when we visit our ancestors cemeteries to pray and clean them, similar to All Souls's Day. It's an annual celebration among Buddhist or Taoist Chinese.

Here's my last year's post on Cheng Beng / Qing Ming : Remembering the Departed.

Such a beautifully colored air balloon against the pale blue sky. I really like this picture.

Very lovely photo of the hot air balloon for SWF. Love the colourful picture. Yes, I am starting the Qing Ming ritual this sunday and then next saturday and next thursday. Geez, we have a longer list to pray this year. Sad but it is our tradition to pay respects to our beloved deceased family members. Have a nice weekend, JC

Lovely colours in the balloon. I´m used to see these balloons printed with so many corporate logos that it´s not funny anymore.

Wonderful ... up up and away ...

"Use your first smile, your first form of generosity, of love, of kindness—use it at home; start at home. And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
