Monochrome Monday & Theme Day - Tattoo in Monochrome

What a day ~ Monochrome Monday & Theme Day ('feet' is the theme)!!! I would like my posting to fulfill both themes so it will be a photo featuring Monochrome Feet then! I have desaturated the colored photo and add some grains to enhance the tattoo on the calf.

Took this photo during last Saturday's
Walk for the Children 2009 organized by Sunway University College. It was a noble effort by the students to raise fund for Harvest Centre, a non-profit organization that provide educational programs for poor urban children in Sentul. The theme for the walk was "Breaking the Cycle of Poverty Through Education".

I hope through this project, the students will learn more to care about the society around us. Learn more about leadership skills in supporting charity efforts.

Now that is a perfect way to show off one's fantastic calves! And a wonderful cause too — I'm so glad you wrote about it. I've always believed that the best way to solve many of our world's problems is through good education.

The fund raising effort is indeed noble and meaningful.

Hi Anne, the weather is really scorching hot here. I am hoping for rain to come! It's so stuffy and humid.

Hi Keropokman, the feet belongs to one of the students of Sunway Uni who participated in the walk. It was indeed a great effort by the students. I hope they would do it every year. At least they learn more things by organizing such charity event other than merely study, study, study!

"Use your first smile, your first form of generosity, of love, of kindness—use it at home; start at home. And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
