A Nyonya (Straits-borned Chinese) dance performed during Wesak International Cultural Night at Brickfields Maha Vihara.
The Nyonya Baju Kebaya (traditional costume) is very well-known for its beautiful embroidery. It is usually worn with a sarong. See those beautiful attires wore by the alluring dancers in the photo.

JC - I love your cultural photos with beautiful costumes! The "lovely Nyonya Kebayas" photo is awesome too! Regards from EAGAN daily photo in Minnesota, USA
So that's what 'Nyonya' means! I saw a restaurant here with that name and I wondered what it was about.
Love the colorful, beautiful costumes! Must be even more amazing up close when you can see the delicate embroidery.
