SS2 Market - Chicken Stall

Here's the chicken stall where I took the photos that I posted of the 3 chickens several days ago.

why are the heads left on? do people use them for something? here in the US the heads are chopped off and the neck tucked neatly into the cavity...

The Chinese of Toaist religion will offer chicken complete with head for prayers to deities & ancestors. That's why the head and neck are not cut off.
