Qing Ming Festival

Qing Ming is here again. Without fail, we went back to our hometown, Melaka, to visit our ancestors cemeteries (Grandpa, Grandma & Dad) and make offerings.  For the first time, we experienced downpour.  We were awake as early as 5am, hoping to leave home by 5.30am.  The rain delayed us.  By 6am, it still had not stop.  We decided to go ahead with our trip.  In the midst of the rain, we made offering of food and prayers at our ancestors cemeteries. All was done in a rush and hurry manner. We didn't get to do any cleaning or clearing. Hopefully, next year we can do a better job.

"Use your first smile, your first form of generosity, of love, of kindness—use it at home; start at home. And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
