Happy Wesak Day

Today is Wesak Day and I am glad to be back in my hometown, Melaka where I get to spend today visiting Seck Kia Eenh's temple with my family. There was a pindapata (offering of food) to monks this morning. Yesterday evening, we joined the procession of beautiful coloured floats (like the one in the photo here) from Seck Kia Eenh Temple through the streets of Melaka. The children even had the chance to bath baby Buddha at a temple near our house just now.

I hope my family will always receive the blessings of Lord Buddha.

which happen to fall on my birthday!! Anyway, I live near Gajah Berang there and it's the 90th Celebration of the temple, as well, right? Happy Wesak Day to you and enjoy your weekend!

Dear Fini Mahadami,

Wow, what a coincidence that you live so near to the Seck Kia Eenh's temple. Yup, the temple is celebrating its 90th Anniversary this year. So glad that I was able to join in this year's Wesak Day in Melaka. Happy Wesak to you!

But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
