Putrajaya Floria Fest 2010

Sorry that I have been away from blogging for sometime.

The latest event in town is the Putrajaya Floria Fest 2010 held at Precint 2 of Putrajaya. This is the 2nd year I had attended this flower and garden festival. For one who loves gardening, I love visiting the flower displays but my favourite would be the nursery booths. There were so many different plants and flowers available for sale. This year there is no Edible Garden section. It was my favourite section last year. In the Edible Garden, visitors get to see herbs, vegetables and fruits plants. On top of that, chefs demonstrated cooking recipes using various edible plants and herbs and we get to taste the food too!

Flower display competition was held in conjunction with the flower festival.
I like this display that is all made of fresh and dried flowers, leaves and items such as barley, green & red beans, saga seeds and many more. The crocodile and Rafflesia blooms looked really good. Isn't this display brilliant?

Wonderful shot of the exhibits :-D The croc looks so pretty he he...

Oh last year when I was there, I like the food stall especially Malay food that I seldom get to eat.

And of course the nursery stalls :-D I spent so much time just checking out the plants. Did you buy any magazines this time? Last year I remember you bought some.

Hi Steph, I only bought some wires for Bonsai plant. We attended a talk by Benny Sim from SanFoong Bonsai. His staff and him gave us a demo on how to create bonsai with wires on Wrightia Religiosa (Melati/Sui Mei). So I am going to practise it on my plants.

"Use your first smile, your first form of generosity, of love, of kindness—use it at home; start at home. And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
