Sunny Tarts of Ipoh
While visiting Ipoh last weekend, we couldn't resist going for a food hunt in this town up north of Kuala Lumpur. For those who are not familiar with Ipoh, this city is well-known for its good food and pretty girls! Yup, these are true!We had lunch at the famous Nam Heong Coffee Shop that is well-known for its Old Town Coffee. Nam Heong also serves dim sum (traditional Chinese snacks). Then I saw this guy preparing the egg tarts for baking and I just can't resist getting closer to take some photos. Mmmm...look at those yellow, sunny egg custard and the flaky, crispy puff pastry holding it.....mmm you can smell the rich, sweet custard and butter used for the pastry....can't you?

And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith

YUM!
Those egg tarts looked delicious. I only knew that Ipoh is famous for their ipoh hor fun. Yummy.
Wow! When I saw these, I thought, "LEMON TARTS!!!" but they aren't. Lemon is my very favourite of all flavours.
These probably taste good too. Great photos.
