CNY Street Concert at Jonker Walk - Chinese New Year Series (7)

This is a scene of Melaka's Jonker Walk yesterday (Saturday) night. This street turned into a pedestrian mall come the weekend. In conjunction of Chinese New Year, a concert was held last night. The beautiful lantern-lit street also attracted massive crowd! Chinese New Year is the best time to visit Melaka as during this period the whole town is beautifully decorated in red and lanterns. The festive spirit can be felt everywhere in the town!

How is your city like during Chinese New Year?

This is my favourite place in Melaka.
I will also be posting the CNY scene of Manchester in my next posting. Thanks for sharing the photos.

I agreed with Alex. I loved taking a walk along Jonker Street.

"Use your first smile, your first form of generosity, of love, of kindness—use it at home; start at home. And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
