Eng Choon Hoey Kuan (or Eng Choon Association) building in Jalan Ampang KL.

I like old buildings and old tree found in the heart of KL city.  However, many a time we hear the city hall demolish old historical buildings in the name of development. Old trees are being cut down for road widening or construction of light rapid transit (subway) facilities. Sigh!  I am cynical about all these development plans made by destructing existing heritage buildings or natural surroundings. Is someone making a fortune by approving these developments?

And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
