"Back to Nature" Wesak Celebration

For this year's Wesak, our friends and families came together for a celebration admist Mother Nature. We brought our mobile temple to the Forest Reserve Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) in Kepong, Selangor and in the fresh surrounding of the forest, together we learn and contemplate on the teaching of the Buddha.

We also took time to have some recreational activities, for instance, the children had a great time exploring the surrounding where we had our gathering. I was glad to have so many opportunities to capture the happy moments of the children. This is one of them! See how carefree they are in a natural surrounding! They make me wish I am a child again!

How did you celebrate Wesak Day?

"Use your first smile, your first form of generosity, of love, of kindness—use it at home; start at home. And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
