Wet Market in SS15

This is one of the vegetable stalls in our Subang Jaya SS15 wet market. This is the market that I frequent to buy my groceries or fresh ingredients for my cooking. This stall is one that I frequent regularly as the lady vendor with the pink hair scarf sells many fresh herbs such as basil, turmeric leaves, kaffir lime leaves, curry leaves, laksa leaf (daun kesum) and many others.

What are the herbs that you usually use in your cooking? Do you plant them? Or get them from the supermarket/wet market/farmer's market?

I get mine from the supermarkets normally. I guess they are cheaper and fresher in the wet markets? I have to say this store is really neat and clean. :)

I would love to have someplace like this to shop for vegetables. The store in our small town has very few fresh vegetables.

An Arkies Musings

"Use your first smile, your first form of generosity, of love, of kindness—use it at home; start at home. And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
