Boy & Iguana

This boy was so brave to allow the iguana to be placed on his shoulder for a photo shoot in Melaka's Dutch Square. I shuddered while looking on. I only allow the iguana to sit on my lap (I was wearing a long pants then) without me touching its skin.

Would you dare to put this iguana on your shoulder? Or have a snake placed like a scarf around your vulnerable neck?? Hee...hee...wanna share your thoughts on this?

Baby Monkey in Kuala Selangor

A friend took this photo of a baby monkey during her visit to Kuala Selangor's Bukit Malawati. I asked her permission to share this photo. The baby looks so vulnerable and tiny. It makes me want to reach out to care for it. And don't you think the colour of its fur looks amazing? I have never seen a monkey of such colour. Have you?

Another Hamster

This is a little hamster belongs to my neighbour's daughter. We were invited for a dinner of Apom (flour pancake) last Wednesday. I joined the children who played with the hamster. As usual, I prefer to join the children than the adults!

Another good news to share. I helped a friend who lost her Schnauzer dog with someone who found one in her residential area through our community website (read it here). It was such a simple deed and yet, able to bring so much joy to my friends and family, who are now happily reunited with their dear pet.

I also have a sad news to share. An Indonesian woman that I have known for over 2 years were driven away by robbers who stole her lady boss's car on early Sunday morning when they were out doing delivery. The lady boss was hospitalized due to head injury. But the worst has happened to her staff. Until today, this young Indonesian lady is still missing. She has not returned or found by police. I pray hard that she is left unharmed by the robbers. The crime rate in Malaysia is very high these days. The police force has left many of us disappointed. Almost every day we hear about robbery or break-ins. It makes me wonder what the police in this country is doing!!! God, please save this young lady from any harm. Let her return safely.

Snoopy

This is my friend's dog, Snoopy. It's friendly and it drooled all over my pants when I met it last week. I would love Snoopy to be my photography object as it was such a fun dog to play with. It was patient with me when I incessantly went after him with my lens. Love ya, Snoop!!

Doo-Doo - The Pomeranian

My neighbour was walking his Pomeranian dog past my house and I stopped him so I could capture a shot of his pet, named Doo-Doo. Isn't it beautiful?

Eyes - Window to the Soul

A saying stated that by looking through the eyes, you can read one's soul. So, what can you tell about the soul of this cat?

This is a cat that I met at the Happy Flower Homestay in Tomohon during my visit to North Sulawesi. Surprisingly, I was able to coax it to pose for me. Its name is Chomel (meaning 'cute') and though I am not a cat lover, I enjoyed playing with it and photographing it. Isn't it a beautiful cat?

Kitty Taking A Rest

An attempt to capture bokeh and successful animal shot during our recent photography outing in Brickfields. They say you must get the eyes of the animal to make the shot beautiful! Sigh! The cat doesn't even want to look at me, what more my lens!! But the bokeh worked!

Don't be a duck!

Interestingly, a friend sent me a mail today with a short motivating story. In brief, it says:

'Stop complaining! Differentiate yourself from your competition. Don't be a duck. Be an eagle. Ducks quack and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd.'"

So, do you choose to be a duck or an eagle?
"Use your first smile, your first form of generosity, of love, of kindness—use it at home; start at home. And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
