We were in a nursery in Cameron Highlands where I saw this girl fascinated with the giant cactus.

Bridal Couple at Botanical Garden

We were taking a stroll at the Penang Botanical Garden when we crossed paths with these couples in bridal costume. They were with a photographer and it seemed like they were having an outdoor photo shoot there. The weather in Penang was cool and it was the raining season then. If not, we would see these couples would be drenched in sweat. And instead of smiles, we may be seeing frowns! Have you had your wedding photos taken at the outdoor? How did it feel? Was it fun?

Today's Flower - Water Lily

A beautiful blooming water lily found in the garden of Sentul Sri Lanka Temple in Kuala Lumpur.
This photo is posted as my participation in the "Today's Flowers" site ~ which is a virtual flower shop. As said on the site, "It's so hard to find someone who doesn't like flowers. Flowers represent all our best feelings." Hope the photo of this water lily brings some joy to you! Wish you a great Sunday. If you wanna have more joy, do come and visit the virtual flower shop, Today's Flower! Happy Sunday!

Water Feature

I love gardening and the water feature in the compound of Sentul Sri Lanka Temple is really attractive to me. The water feature comprised of a waterfall from the roof of a pergola and a pond with many koi fishes swimming happily in it. Variety of plants were placed around the water feature. This make the whole are very green and fresh. I also like the 3 little monks statues placed at the edge of the pond. The little boy in this photo is seen enjoying this garden as much as me!

Do you have a garden and do you enjoy gardening?

Chirpy Lady Bird

This friendly, cheerful creature keeps my plants company and manage to bring cheers to me whenever I do my gardening. Not only it beautifies my garden, it also makes me feel that I have company whenever I do therapeutic chatting with my plants. Many atime, upon reaching home, I would go directly to my garden and see how the plants are growing.

With the recent heavy downpour in the evening and bright sun shining in the morning, my garden is in great health!! With a dose of nutrients from fertilizers and charcoal (yup, I mean charcoal) from time to time, I hope my garden will continue to be in full bloom!

Just a little sharing, these few days I am very occupied with helping a friend organized a wedding. I will post some photos of the preparation and the wedding after Saturday. We are full of anticipation. Though it's tiring calling, sms-ing and running like headless chicken from one place to another to source for items required for the wedding, we feel it's worthwhile making the wedding a memorable one for the couple. And it's great that we could all come together for these two friends.

My Garden - Blooming Orchid

After viewing photo updates of Thien's garden in Seguin (Texas) Photo Blog, it gave me an idea to check out my garden and share with you what I found there recently.
Proudly presenting my orchid!!! I brought this back from a trip to Cebu about 8 years ago. It took about 3 years of fertilizing, care and talking (yup, I verbally bribed my plant with compliments) before I first saw its bloom! I am glad that despite the lack of care these recent years, it did not fail me. It has been blooming beautifully for my family and I to enjoy.
"Use your first smile, your first form of generosity, of love, of kindness—use it at home; start at home. And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
