Sparkling Under The Sun

The route for Malaysia Mental Health Association's Big Walk that we took part yesterday, passed by some interesting landmarks around Petaling Jaya New Town. One of the is the Thai Temple, Wat Chetawan.

The temple roof is decorated with many tiny bits of glasses. As we passed it, the sun was shining very brightly. As the sun shines on it, the glasses sparkles under the sun. It seemed like the roof was covered with sparkling diamond!! Imagine those glasses are diamonds!! Wow! And I bet theives will not leave the roof alone!

quite an extravagant structure. Beautifully done... is it gold that covers its roof?

I don't think it's gold. It would be too extravagant for a temple. But the sparkles under the sun makes the temple very grand and majestic, right?

When I saw this picture at a glance I thought it was in Thailand. Apparently Thai Temple at Petaling Jaya. I think you have found the right moment to capture the blink :). Nice.
