Theme Day: Oct 09 - 'Contrast' - Dying & Growing

It's so fast that time flies. We are already into the last quarter of the year.

Today is the National Day of China. To all friends in China, I wish you a Happy National Day and do enjoy the long holiday!! Glad to awaken to a text message today that my friend has hit his sales target for the year today! Wow, what a great way to start Quarter 4!

To my former boss in Down Under, Happy Birthday to you boss!! Wishing you good health, good fortune and good heart!

For today's theme day, I have to admit that I didn't go out to take any shot to fulfill the theme's requirement. I lazily search my photo archives for a suitable shot. Here's one that I took last weekend at the park opposite my house. It's a shot of a moon seen through dried branches of a tree with many new shoots. Although the tree branches are dried up, seemed like it's dying, yet new shoots are coming out!

As we begin Quarter 4, may it bring new hope of growth to all aspects of our lives. With hope, we can carry on lives with more inspiration! Time may be tough to many now. Don't give up on hope. Just like the new shoots that bring hope to this dry tree. It will be able to live on! So can all of us! There's hope out there! Just believe in it! Happy theme day to all!

165 participants from different corner of the world is participating in today's theme day.

Absolutely beautiful photo for today's Theme and I so love your commentary, so thoughtful.

"Use your first smile, your first form of generosity, of love, of kindness—use it at home; start at home. And if there is something left over—if … your plate is just full of abundance of patience and goodness and smiles and joy, then by all means, you should go … and offer that to others. But we must begin at home." by Dr Robin Smith
