The weather in Subang Jaya, or shall I say Klang Valley, is very, very hot lately.
What a great way to spend a hot noon by dipping in the pool at Sunway Lagoon like this group of people!

Snoopy
This is my friend's dog, Snoopy. It's friendly and it drooled all over my pants when I met it last week. I would love Snoopy to be my photography object as it was such a fun dog to play with. It was patient with me when I incessantly went after him with my lens. Love ya, Snoop!!

Not For The Faint Heart
See the rope line that run across the photo from left to right? That's the Hanging Bridge in Sunway Lagoon! Hope it doesn't scare any of you who were tempted to try it out after seeing Thurday's photo! It's certainly not meant for those with a faint heart!

Cold Inside, Hot Outside
Fried ice cream, anyone? This is ice cream wrapped with bread dipped into egg and then frozen. Upon order, it will be deep fried. It's hot on the outside & cold on the inside. Very yummy and a must-have for me whenever I go to the Jonker Walk's weekend night market in Melaka.

Bed & Breakfast

More & more backpackers hostel and B&B are established in Melaka's Jonker & Temple Street area. And this is good as they make accommodation in the touristy part of Melaka town affordable!
This is a mural taken from one of the budget accommodation. It is located just in front of the Jonker Walk stage where karaoke session is held on every weekend. But wonder if one can sleep through the loud noise coming from the speakers?

Heineken staged a fake classical music concert at the same time as a crucial Real Madrid vs. AC Milan game on October 21, there was no chance that any real soccer fan would be there…except if their girlfriends, professors and bosses convinced them (by any means necessary) to attend.
What happens next is sheer hilarity, and a nice example of a high-budget guerrilla marketing campaign from Heineken. Suffice to say that more than 1,100 soccer fans got swindled, 1.5 million people saw their reactions on live TV, and Heineken received five million visitors to the site devoted to the event — and a great deal of news coverage for their troubles.

Fish Spa - Revisited
In August 2008, I posted a photo of a Fish Spa that we tried out. Last Sunday, we were in Sunway Pyramid mall where we saw a bigger Fish Spa Centre. It's fun to watch the Garra Rufa fishes nibbling on this customer's calves. It's a comfortable spa and the aquarium with glass panel enable curious onlookers to see for themselves what it would be like to have the fishes attacking the dead skin cells on your legs!

Perfumes & Cosmetics
Shopping for perfumes & cosmetics? Here's an outlet in KL International Airport.
Wish you all a lovely weekend. I will be busy with moving to our new house on this Sunday. Telekom Malaysia officer told me that it would take at least one week for my broadband to be re-connected at the new place! Duh!!! That's what happen when you have a monopoly providing services in a country!!! One week without Internet connection!!! I can't imagine that. Let's hope it could be improved.

Paper Craft
Taken during the Hungry Ghost month last year at Temple Street, Melaka. This man is in the paper craft creating paper dolls that Taoists burnt for their ancestors during prayers. During the Hungry Ghost month (7th month of the Chinese Lunar Calendar), prayers will be offered to hungry ghosts and paper crafts like the one he is doing will be burnt. He was making the God of Hades (underworld). There is a completed one in the background with its eyes covered with red paper. The red paper will be removed when prayers begun. A feast will be offered to the hungry ghost and God of Hades before these paper dolls were burnt.
This is a dying craft. Not many young people is interested in such craft anymore. Even this man's children is not keen in continuing their father's craft work.

East Meets West
Korean cuisine is gaining popularity here in Malaysia. We can see many Korean restaurants mushrooming in many parts of Klang Valley as compared to ten years back. This is also greatly influenced by the popularity of Korean drama series.
However, what if we add a dash of Western influence into a well-known Korean dish such as Bibimbap? In Bibimbap, you get a bowl of rice topped with multi-coloured vegetables and usually a sunny-sideup egg. The spicy Gochujang (chilli bean paste) sauce is also included. To eat Bibimbap, one needs to mix all the ingredients together.
Well, in this Bibimbap that we ordered, it came with cheese as its topping. For one who loves Bibimbap, I felt the milky rich flavour of cheese did not go very well with the rich and Gochujang sauce. It tasted a little bit odd.
It's a good experience. It's not always that the East would blend deliciously with the West. In future, I will stick with the traditional Bibimbap!

In Deep Thought
Caught Harvin, the bride, in deep thought during the wedding ceremony on last Friday.
Wonder what she was thinking?

My friend, Reinhard, who visited my blog mentioned that he enjoyed the photos and videos posted.
Here's a music video by Korea's Wonder Girls with their US Debut Single 'Nobody' that you should not miss out!
The video is hillarious and the song is so popular among young adults in Malaysia.
I was first introduced to this song by two Korean delegates who performed the dance during ASEAN International Buddhist Youth Exchange. They truly brought the Korean waves to the Buddhist youths. It became such a hit among us! In the gym, this song was also played during our Dance Mania class. It's a catchy and nice song! Enjoy it!

Theme Day: Mar 2010 - Passageway - KLIA
Chinese New Year is over. And Theme Day has arrived! That's how fast time flies!
For the month of March, the theme will be Passageway ~ narrow way through something, especially with walls on both sides; corridor (according to the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary). Due to the festive celebration, I didn't make time to go out to shoot for this theme. Ran through my photo archive to pick a photo that qualifies for this theme and the photo must be of aesthetic value too.
I stumbled upon this photo taken in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). I love taking photos of children and this is one featuring a father and son walking along the corridor to the viewing deck.
Wishing everyone a happy theme day!! March is here....and that means spring is arriving soon in cities on the northern hemisphere! I love spring for the colours & blooms that it brings.
